Rise Hall Wedding Photography | An Autumn Wedding in East Yorkshire Full of Sunshine, a Sausage Dog & Classic Style

October weddings in Yorkshire have a certain kind of magic, and this Rise Hall wedding in East Yorkshire was a perfect example of why autumn is such a beautiful time to get married.

Set within the grand yet welcoming surroundings of Rise Hall, Hannah & Chris’ day unfolded beneath warm October sunshine that filled the venue with soft, golden light. For wedding photography, it was a dream. The light was gentle and flattering, and the pace of the day felt relaxed and unhurried, allowing real moments to unfold naturally. Just the way we like it!

The styling embraced the season in the most effortless way. Autumnal wedding flowers in rich, earthy tones brought warmth and depth to the day, with colours inspired by the changing landscape around the hall. The arrangements felt organic and timeless, perfectly suited to one of East Yorkshire’s most iconic wedding venues.

One very special guest made a special appearance! A much-loved dachshund, or sausage dog called Ronnie! Including pets in a wedding always brings an extra layer of meaning and these moments are always a favourite to photograph.

Outside, a beautifully restored classic Mini added a sense of nostalgia and charm. Parked against the elegant backdrop of Rise Hall and surrounded by autumn light, it created some of the most relaxed and timeless wedding photographs of the day.

As an East Yorkshire wedding photographer covering Yorkshire and further afield, days like this are exactly why I love what I do. Rise Hall offers couples the freedom to create a wedding that feels completely personal, whether that means relaxed portraits in the grounds, meaningful details, or simply soaking in the atmosphere with the people who matter most.

This autumn wedding at Rise Hall was warm, full of character and rich with feeling. A celebration shaped by season, light and love, and a beautiful reminder that October weddings in Yorkshire have a quiet kind of magic all of their own.
