The Beverley Barn - Weddings

Not too long before lockdown 2.0, myself and both of the equally passionate wedding suppliers, Yasmin from The Beverley Barn and Tilly from Flutes and Finesse had a late night chat that ultimately lead to the concept of this editorial shoot.

And we are so.in.love.with.it

All three of us know how challenging and unpredictable it has been for our couples who have had to navigate planning their wedding through a pandemic, we sympathise and empathise with them every step of the way. Saying it has been hard for them is an understatement, but there is such beautiful light now appearing at the end of the tunnel! And hopefully this shoot fills you all with the hope we are feeling! As well as showcase some absolutely incredible suppliers we have in our area!

Essentially, we wanted to show how versatile the barn and its grounds can be and whisk everyone away on holiday with a shoot full of vibrance, incorporating Moroccan vibes, bohemian dreams and… you’ll get there if you read on.. stunning authentic Thai cuisine from Thai House Hull!

Bohemian inspired styling

It was a no brainer that we approached the literal unicorn of bohemian style, Clare at Born Boho , a bohemian inspired prop & decor hire and styling service unlike any other, to help us create our vision. And WHOA, did she deliver.

Just wow. It’s like she read our minds!

Wedding dress boutiques & designers

When you start planning your wedding there are a lot of things on top of the list; the dress being one. Who better to ask to fit with this shoot’s aesthetic than Elizabeth Lucas, the Beverley Bridal boutique catering to all the stylish brides of today.

She had SO MANY incredible dresses that we simply couldn’t choose just one. You don’t have to either, by the way! Daytime/nighttime dresses? We’re all for that! We ultimately selected two dresses and both just happened to be from the Willowby range by Watters.

Beautiful wedding florals

Now let’s talk flowers. FlowerStyle Beverley is who we knew we could count on for this concept. I really don’t need to say much more when we are dealing with a flower crown creation to this standard! We are all still blown away by it. And our gorgeous model Maddie Rose was the one to showcase it in all its amazing glory…

Flower Style created gorgeous arrangements using vanda orchid, ranunculus, dahlias, nerine, hydrangea, lissyanthas, cumcuats and pomegranates, hanging in macrame and terracotta pots.

Wedding cakes & catering

Food. Cake. Oh my word did we hit the dream-team jackpot with Thai House Hull and Cakes By Leni jumping on board who both just elevated this shoot into out-of-this-world status!

Thai House has an ever expanding team of Thai chefs and they prepare and cook everything on site using delicious, fresh ingredients.
They are very proud to be able to offer and prepare food to cover many different allergies and diets. They cover Vegan, Coeliac, seafood allergy, nut allergy and many, many more.

WARNING: this will make you hungry.

With over 15 years of cake making experience, Cakes By Leni specialises in creating beautiful, individual cakes to suit both your theme and taste. For this shoot she designed a stunning 3 tier cake decorated in beautiful, intricate sugar flowers and gorgeous copper foil.

Wedding stationery

Wedding stationery… ah I’m such a sucker for it! There was only one girl for the job; Cath at Raspberry Toast.

I mean, just look at this incredible set! Inspired by the iconic Hepworth Gallery, this range is created with unique copper detail and hand painted leaf. Just gorgeous.

Hair & Makeup

We knew we wanted a natural but still wow-factor hair and make up team. So we enlisted the incredible talents of Hayley Young Professional Make Up Artist and Hair by Rosie to infuse their craft into this editorial. What they added to our already stunning model was literal perfection.

Wedding prop hire service

And finally, Flutes and Finesse to showcase the party time! I mean, who doesn’t love Prosecco? Let alone a Prosecco WALL! They are dedicated to enhancing your wedding with a touch of Finesse.

They also have free delivery within 15 miles of Beverley, East Yorkshire.

This dress worked perfectly for party time against that amazing wall of bubbles!
